Gurukula Botanical Sanctuary has functioned for twenty five years with the committed support of friends, family, and a few like-minded organizations. People help out in all kinds of ways, from giving time and labour to donating books, money and equipment. Various institutions have supported us with their enthusiasm, suggestions, and funds.
Over the years, several friends and well-wishers have committed themselves to collecting small donations from people they know - friends, colleagues, family – to send to us annually. This modest, steady flow of income for the Sanctuary has ensured that our work has been able to continue despite the ups and downs of funding cycles. It is also important that we feel part of a larger movement of people who sense the urgency of protecting and nurturing the last of our biodiversity.
